As the current election season approaches, I began contemplating a few extreme
thoughts.
I wondered what would happen, if our entire global population suddenly decided
to think for themselves?
Take, for example, the current unrest in Europe over the financial calamity that has
been placed upon them. Though the citizens of these nations can't feign total ignorance,
their leaders have taken the European Union to the brink of financial ruin.
Now, those same leaders expect the people of the once sovereign nations to shoulder the
burden of repaying the corrupt central banksters by the use of grave austerity
measures and sacrifices that the power elite will never willingly share. What if someone
were to harness all of the power of this unrest and guide it in a fashion that would
break apart the organization known as the EU?
What if they were capable of leading a cohesive effort to wrest the control of the
individual nations back from this monstrosity that now controls their very survival?
The ultimate mission of the European Union was to march humanity toward global
governance. What if the citizens who comprise these once sovereign nations, who
make up the EU, determined that they would much prefer more local authority, and
a government that respected, and protected the rights of the individual? What if these
concerned citizens organized, and actively worked to elect leaders who wished to regain
their nations' sovereignty, and those people actually won the elections and dismantled, in an
orderly fashion, the European Union, and replaced it with individual sovereign nations
instead of the collective known as the EU?
Who Can It Be Now
For the 2012 Presidential election in the united States, the Republicans put forth
a roster that included the likes of Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Michele
Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Jon Huntsman, Gary Johnson, Ron Paul, Tim Pawlenty, and
Rick Perry.
And First Up Is:
Michele Bachmann was the corporate media's early favorite when she won the Iowa straw poll
by a very slim majority. Alas, she fell out of 'favor of the month' status with several gaffs
including wishing Elvis Presley a happy birthday on the anniversary of his death!
The Also Never-Rans
In the interest of time and space constraints, and trying to keep the majority of the people
who have made it thus far through the article, I will sweep several candidates out of the
way in just a few paragraphs. Tim Pawlenty had the good sense to know he didn't stand
a chance in hell of earning the Republican nod when he posted a 'show' finish in the Iowa
straw poll, and politely withdrew. Rick Santorum is an idiot who thinks that everyone should
think just as he does, or he will blow you to smithereens...polling below 4 percent will get him
some well deserved time to spend with the person he admires the most...himself. Gary
Johnson is way too libertarian to ever get the Republican leadership to even allow him
enough time for a dumbed-down american populace to remember that he was running!
Herman, Herman, Herman...cut his name in half, and you see where he gets his irrational
idea that all the women should just love him! Americans earning under $100,000 a year
would have seen a substantial tax increase under his catchy 9-9-9 tax scheme. Luckily,
Herman couldn't keep all of his skeletons in his closet...goodbye, good luck, good riddance!
Jon Huntsman would have you believe that he is the most viable candidate to face Obama
in the upcoming general election. Paraphrasing, I will just state what another Jon...Jon
Stewart said on the Daily Show after the Iowa straw poll results were known.
"Jon Huntsman? Jon Huntsman? He came in second among Mormons, and he was the
only Mormon on the ballot!" and in essence, Gary Busey had 77 votes to Huntsman's 69.
Busey wasn't even on the ballot, and although this was a parody, I think that even
the dullest of my readers can get the point.
Deja vu
Rick Perry, what can you say about this guy. For starters, illegal immigration wasn't on his
'to-do' list until he was trying to win a second term. This guy has been for amnesty all of his
career. Don't let this idiot fool you like the last Texas governor did! Perry was a proponent
of the Trans-Texas Corridor, he fought for, and won, in-state tuition for illegal aliens. He
is a low life as a governor...and that is from someone who would love to see him out of Austin
because I am from Texas!
And Then There Were Three
And now we come to the heart of the matter. Which of the three remaining contenders
deserves the nod from the voters to challenge Obama and attempt to rescue this sinking
ship?
Mitt Romney is a former governor of Massachusetts and also has experience in the private
sector. Trouble is, much of his experience in the private sector involved deals which did
away with jobs in the U.S., and if they weren't entirely eliminated, were moved offshore.
As governor of Mass., he implemented a healthcare program that, as Obama himself says,
was the model for the Healthcare Reform Act, a.k.a. ObamaCare. This achievement is
one of the highlights of Romney's public service record!
Where do I start with Newt Gingrich? He recently claimed that his worst recent mistake
was his cozying up on a couch with Nancy Pelosi in an ad for "We Can Solve It", and
while I would not call Gingrich a liar...well, I would, but let me get to the rest of his
record with Ms. Pelosi.
According to some reports, Newt Gingrich co-sponsored a total of 418 of Nancy
Pelosi's bills in the 12 years that they concurrently resided in the House of
Representatives! See here http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2817522/posts
This guy freely admits that he is for amnesty. I don't care what name he gives
to it, any time someone says that people who gained illegal entry into these
united States should be allowed to stay, are saying they are for lawlessness,
and amnesty. If they have children, let them take them with them when they
return to Mexico...let them spend their time fixing their own country, we have
enough problems without having to deal with them!
The ONLY Choice!
When it comes down to it, Republicans, or let me say anyone who believes in individual
liberty, have only one choice. That choice is decidedly Ron Paul. He has put forth a bold
plan that will cut 1 TRILLION dollars from the federal budget in the 1st year, and do
away with unneeded federal bureaucracies thereby reinstituting more local, or state
control. Ron Paul has a record that he never has to run from, and can always defend,
and that is the reason that the corporate media limits his time in the debates. They are
afraid that the American people might choose individual liberty over the current status
quo. This 12 term Congressman has never voted for a pay increase, and has stated that
he will work as President of these united States for roughly 1/10th of the current
salary! No other candidate has the record this man has, and yet he doesn't tout the
fact that he worked in the private sector all of his life...as a doctor. Understanding that almost 60
percent of the American public receives some form of federal subsidy, Ron Paul chose to make
the majority of the nation's budget cuts in foreign aid and policy. I would also like
to add that this is it, folks. Your decision, you are either for a fascist nation such as the
one we are morphing into, or you believe in our founding fathers' vision of a free populace,
living in a Constitutional Republic. The choice is yours: Government surveillance, indefinite
detention for ANY individual, including citizens, assassinations, never-ending wars, poverty
and ruin. That is what you get with the current resident in the White House, or any of the
other Republican candidates. Obama has shown by his record who he is, and the other
candidates have plainly stated they believe we should be entangled in the world's affairs.
For the sake of FREEDOM, vote Ron Paul 2012!!!
